A season that, for those who love it, has much to offer. Nature has its wintersleep; all life seems to have disappeared. Which of course isn't true; when you take a better look you can spot several animals that are trying their best to find some food. Luckily they are helped by the local people. The landclimate in the Harz is the reason for nice weather. Blue skies and much sunshine with temperatures pretty below zero. Most of the time the land will be covered in snow. Mostly unharmed and really white. Light is therefore much more intense, the silence more silent. Winter offers many possibilities regarding activities like skiïng, langlaufen, snowshoewalking, sledgeriding and of course, walkig. Combining this with 'Erbsensuppe' or a glass of 'Glühwein' makes it enjoying at its best. |
